BBC - Benefield Broadcasting Crew

The BBC provides a live morning broadcast delivered daily by students in 4th and 5th grade. Teachers recommend students for the BBC based upon their academics and behavior. Students are trained on how to use and speak on camera, as well as, how to use the audio and video mixers. Students gather weather information daily, and, with some assistance from the tech team sponsors, they enter data into the power point which is used to display the information and data to the school. At times the anchor is super-imposed over the power point using blue screen technology to help clarify the information being broadcasted. Throughout the year, guest speakers, students and staff members, give book reports, biographical reports, or demonstrations.
